Current Research:

Structure and photoactivation of avian cryptochromes

Trying to decipher light-dependent magnetoreception and the connection between the structure and function of the avian cryptochromes 1 and 4 which enable migratory birds such as European robin (Erithacus rubecula) to migrate by using with MD simulations as well as QM approaches.

Previous research:

Interdisciplinary investigation of the mutans of human dipeptidyl peptidase III (hDPP III)

Experimental biochemical as well as MD simulations approach was used to investigate how the mutations found in cancer cells influence the interaction with other proteins.
