At the beginning of October, Ilias Patmanidis joins the group as a Post-doc. Ilias did his PhD. in the Computational Chemistry group at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and worked also in the Molecular Dynamics group at the University of Groningen and the Biomodelling group at the Aarhus University in Denmark.
Ilias' primary expertise lies in all-atom simulations, coarse-grained models, force field optimization, and small molecule parametrization. His research interests can be summarised as simulating properties of nanomaterials and different biomolecules.
In the QuantBio group, Ilias is contributing to developing the VIKING suite and supporting the group on projects requiring multi-scale modeling approaches.
