Lecture: Orientation of migratory birds in geomagnetic field

A two-hours course (in German), for high school students aimed to discuss the forefront research pursued at the Frankfurt Institute for advanced Studies (FIAS) in the field of theoretical biology. The focus of the course was to present an overview of theoretical methods used to study the biophysical mechanisms underlying the magnetic sense of migratory birds and to discuss the current state of the art in this complex phenomenon.
