VIKING class at SDU in Odense, Denmark

Submitted by Katarina Kretschmer on
This week, eight groups of students at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense used VIKING to simulate a 30 amino acid-long polyalanine for 200 ns at eight different temperatures ranging from 600-880 K. The students measured the polyalanine's unfolding temperature with the help of VIKING heat capacity, from which they determined the polyalanine's unfolding temperature. The class was held by Luise Jacobsen, while Jonathan Hungerland helped her by providing the essential resources by VIKING.
